CPS Energy offers a variety of programs that can help you conserve energy, preserve the environment and save money on your utility bills. There are a variety of things you can do to use less energy and still be comfortable in your home in every season.

We support energy efficiency by treating it as a new fuel source for electrical generation. We have projected how much the demand for electricity will grow over the next four years and, through energy efficiency endeavors, are seeking to reduce that amount by 10 percent each year to reach 40 percent by 2011. To achieve this ambitious goal, CPS Energy is committing $96 million to customer incentives through 2011.

As an ENERGY STAR® Partner, CPS Energy is a utility that is dedicated to helping our customers reduce energy consumption and lower their bills by purchasing and using energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly appliances and products. We encourage our residential customers to take advantage of home efficiency rebates that cover improvements such as: attic, ceiling and wall insulation; the installation of high-efficiency air conditioners; replacement of traditional windows with ENERGY STAR qualified windows; duct testing, repair and sealing; and other measures. We offer rebates for the installation and use of photovoltaic solar panels to produce electricity. Additionally, we encourage conservation through the building of Smart Energy homes that combine natural gas and electricity.
